Why people love to travel to Turkey?

Read Croushy's interview;

Croushy

Tell us abit about yourself..?

Im Croushy, my real name is Eléonore but everybody calls me Nano or Croush. Im 25 years old (time so fast!!!!), live in Paris suburbs and work as a secretary in diffrent banks. The one i work nowadays is a Spanish Bank and im testing hardware. One of the most interesting things i did since 5 years.

What made you first decide to visit Turkey?

My first visit was in August 2001, in a hotel club, 4 km away from Kusadasi. I went with 5 firends. We were looking for an cheap hotel in a warm country. First we were up for Tunisia. But when we went in Travel Agency the ones from Turkey seemed better. One of my friends had been in Kusadasi when she was a child and told us it was nice. So we booked for Kus. But i cant hide you that at this moment i really wanted to go to Tunisia, and as a little bit disapointed to go to another country. But when i went... One month later i booked again for the same place!

Which cities have you visited in Turkey?

I've visited : Kusadasi, Selcuk, Soke, Denizli (and its famous Pamukkale), Bodrum, Gumbet and recently Antalya and Kemer.

Would you like to visit again? If yes - What is it about Turkey that you love?

Of course! Ive been at least 15 times in 5 years. You can guess how i love it! And im trying to go there at lest 2 months this summer if my bank (not the one i work, the one that keeps my money!) allows me. I love loads of things there : the people who always make you feel welcomed there, the exeptionnal food, the weather, the great antic places to visit (more than in Greece or Italy!), the nightlife, and one person in particular.

Did you feel safe in Turkey?

Yes, even though sometimes there are pickpockets, or guys who may hassle you if you are one or two girls walking in the night... But safer than in my prpoer country! Never met there a guy who may agress you because he dont like that you look at him!

How were the Turkish people?

Absolutely fabulous! I recommend you to go out of the holiday resorts, you'll meet the most fantastic people in the world! Whatever they are girls, boys, old, young, rich, poor they will always smile seeing you, and doing you lots of presents!

In one way its a little bit diffrent in holiday resorts. Some are fantastic, but some other ones think only about business. I cant blame them, of course, but sometimes it spoilted a few days in my trip.

Do you have any suggestions for new visitors to Turkey? Travel - tour tips? Can you recommend any specific places or advice?

For new visitors, just look... and enjoy! You will love it!

My places :
- in Kusadasi : first you have to visit Efes and Selcuk. Selçuk is real nice town with antic places. The people are really warm there. Have a walk in Ladies Beach, you will love the view and the atmosphere. Take a boat trip from Marina to North of Kus (Kustur/Tusan) : the view of Kusadasi is wonderful and the rocks will make you crazy by their beauty. For the restaurants, try the small ones and the ones you dont see loads of tourists, but most tourist costumers : the food is the best and the prices are quite cheap. And for nightlife, of course bar street, but if you are bored with this business, just have a look on the beach clubs near Ladies Beach (Jade, Necco), or a few bars near the Marina (James Dean/ Sedir bar in hotel Korumar)

- in Bodrum : i can recomend you Gümbet which is more personal than the big city of Bodrum. Have a walk along the beach, try a few restaurants there, and enjoy the nightlife in Bar Street.

- in Antalya : go to the old town, avoid the touristic market (too expensive), and have a one-hour boat trip, just to be relaxed. For shopping, Kemer is not bad, look like Kusadasi. And the nightlife is unbelievable!
