Why people love to travel to Turkey?

Read Joanne's interview;

Joanne

Tell us abit about yourself..?

I'm Joanne, I'm 17 and from Preston, England. I'm in my first year of college and I study Spanish, Travel and Tourism and Religious Studies. I also work in an old peoples home! and I like to travel, socialise, Shop, use the internet, listen to music and go clubbing :)

What made you first decide to visit Turkey?

Well I had heard lots of different opinions about it from people I knew and I wanted to see what my opinion would be! also it was either there or Spain and I thought Turkey sounded and looked a lot more exotic and interesting, so i begged my mum to let us go!

Which cities have you visited in Turkey?

Unfortunately so far i have only visited Kusadasi, however I fully enjoyed it and it was a great place to start, as it has made me more curious about what the rest of the country will be like.

Would you like to visit again? If yes - What is it about Turkey that you love?

Yes i would definately visit again. I just love the whole atmosphere, it's so refreshing and relaxing, I always feel so stress free when I visit and I never want to go home! Alos the people there are awesome, they are so welcoming and always make sure you have the best holiday possible by showing so much hospitality! and the shopping is great too, you come home with such individual items and you bought them all at bargain prices. The climate is great too and you can never go home without a beautiful tan! and also the whole scenary is just sooooo beautiful and theres so much to see and do!

Did you feel safe in Turkey?

I had a bad first experience in Turkey, but the people there were so helpful and were really supportive and after that I never worried about anything everyone there acts as a big family and takes care of everyone!

How were the Turkish people?

Absolutely Fantastic the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, they show so much kindness and hospitality towards tourist and this really has a great impact of your holiday!

Do you have any suggestions for new visitors to Turkey? Travel - tour tips? Can you recommend any specific places or advice?

To all people planning on visiting Turkey I would say don't listen to any of the negative publicity that can be put forward about the country, go there and see what you think for yourselves! This Gorgeous country holds some of the worlds greatest sights known to man! It is full of culture and life and is definately a place that fits the needs and wants of every type of visitor!

I would definately recommend visiting the Turkish Nights held in every major tourist town! these nights involve so much life! they are filled with cultural music and dancing and meals are often included! You will not feel the real Turkish Feeling unless you witness the Turkish Night. I would also suggest that visitor try out the excursions for example to Epheseus and Pammakule, I didn't have chance to go on these and it is a big regret of mine!

Also definately try the cultural food it is absolutely delicious and what better way to try out different cultures, than trying the dishes! Lastly I would definately recommend SHOPPING!! you can always pick up a bargain and you'll find all the decent designer gear and quality carpets etc!its better to buy it than to wish ahhhhh i wish i had, when you get home!

You only live once and if you let the chance of visiting Turkey pass you by you basically have never lived!
